The Bakcou Scout is ready for the adventure

Bakcou's premium full-suspension fat-tire electric bike, the Scout combines agile handling with the legendary Bafang Ultra M620 mid-drive motor to create an all-terrain machine built for hunters, trail riders, and outdoor adventurers. Delivering up to 160Nm of torque, the Ultra motor provides exceptional climbing power and responsive performance, while advanced cadence, speed, and torque sensors create a smooth, natural riding experience that adapts to every pedal stroke.

The Scout's lightweight 6061 aluminum full-suspension frame pairs a 140mm air suspension fork with a RockShox Monarch rear shock to absorb rocks, roots, and rough terrain with ease. Maxxis Minion 26" x 4.0" fat tires provide outstanding traction across dirt, mud, sand, and snow, while the bike's balanced geometry delivers confident handling on technical climbs and fast descents. Power comes from an integrated 48V battery, available in 17.5Ah or 21Ah capacities for extended adventures.

Trail-ready components complete the package. An 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain delivers smooth, dependable shifting, while Tektro quad-piston hydraulic brakes with 203mm rotors provide confident stopping power in demanding conditions. A removable left-thumb throttle and Bakcou's On-Demand Programming (ODP) display allow riders to switch between Class 1, 2, 3, making the Scout a versatile electric bike built for backcountry exploration, overlanding, and all-day trail adventures.

DESIGN

DRIVETRAIN

The Scout features a SRAM NX 11-speed drivetrain designed to deliver smooth, dependable shifting across a wide range of terrain. Paired with a 40T chainring and wide-range cassette, this system provides the gearing needed for steep climbs, technical trails, and fast cruising. Built with proven components and a heavy-duty eBike chain, the drivetrain is designed to withstand the added demands of electric bike performance.

MOTOR AND POWER

Powered by the Bafang Ultra mid-drive motor, the Scout delivers the torque and responsiveness needed for demanding terrain. The integrated torque sensor continuously adjusts power output based on rider input, creating a natural riding experience with excellent control on climbs, descents, and technical trails. Combined with available 17.5Ah and 21Ah battery options, the Scout is built for long-range adventures and all-day rides.

SUSPENSION

The Scout is equipped with an RST Renegade Air Fork featuring 120mm of travel. Designed for aggressive trail riding and off-road exploration, this suspension system absorbs impacts from rocks, roots, and uneven terrain while maintaining responsive handling and rider comfort. The adjustable air spring allows riders to dial in performance based on terrain and riding style.

BRAKING SYSTEM

Tektro HD E750 quad-piston hydraulic brakes paired with oversized 203mm front and rear rotors provide powerful and consistent stopping performance. Whether navigating steep descents or technical terrain, this braking system delivers the confidence and control needed for demanding off-road conditions.

The Scout uses Bafang’s Ultra M620 mid‑drive motor, which can be configured as a Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 system. This “diesel engine” of e‑bike motors produces up to 160 Nm of torque and includes speed, and the torque sensors provide a very natural pedalling feel.

The Scout was designed for sport‑trail riding and backcountry exploration. It is versatile bike perfect for trail-riding and overlanding, hunting and scouting, and camping and off‑grid exploration. Its full‑suspension frame, 26 × 4.0 inch Maxxis Minion tires and high‑torque Ultra motor make it ideal for technical singletrack, rugged jeep roads and mixed terrain.

The Scout can carry up to 250lbs.

While both the Scout and the Storm are full-suspension, fat-tire eBikes built for rugged terrain, they deliver two different riding experiences. The Scout is tuned for riders who want a lighter, more agile feel, perfect for sporty trail rides, steep climbs, and weaving through technical terrain. The Storm, on the other hand, is a heavy-duty workhorse built for long-range power and carrying heavier loads deep into the backcountry.

The Scout’s 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain and nimble geometry give it quick acceleration and smooth control on challenging trails, while its lighter frame makes it easier to handle in tight or uneven terrain. The Storm features a 9-speed SRAM X5 drivetrain and a wider range of battery options (up to 25 Ah) for riders who prioritize distance and hauling capacity over agility.

For all of our ebikes, we stand behind your purchase with a one‑year limited manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty starts the day you receive your bike and covers major components like the battery, frame, motor, controller, wiring harness and LCD display. To activate your coverage, be sure to register your bike within 30 days of delivery; the warranty is valid only for the original owner and can’t be transferred. It protects you against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship but doesn’t cover normal wear, misuse or modifications.
